49.2f.4b error has taken my printer hostage and won't go off the screen. It just says 'to continue, turn product off then on.' with a restart option. No matter how many times I hit restart it just leads right back here, it's been months like this. I'm at my wits end. I've tried everything to gain control but nothing has worked.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.
Please follow these steps :
Step one: Turn the printer off and then on
Turn the printer off, and then back on to clear the error.
Step two: Update the firmware
Current firmware needs to be downloaded from HP.com using a USB flash drive and the Preboot Menu.
For instructions, refer to HP LaserJet Enterprise - Update firmware using a USB flash drive or the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you @Raj2111 for your response and I apologize for my late response. Using the link I downloaded the firmware but the pop-up error message won't give me enough time to navigate my way through the preboot menu before the touch screen is unusable. I only have about two seconds, and whenever I successfully navigate to the right option, it says "checking printer" then the error message takes over and again I have to restart.
