Photosmart 5520

My Photosmart 5520 will not let me delete a past print command, so it doesn't allow me to print anything else.  It's frozen.  I have tried to cancel the print many many times and nothing - it says "deleting" but it doesn't.  I've turned off the computer, printer, disconnected the printer - nothing is working.  I've deleted other print queues but this one particular one won't.  Any suggestions?

Thank you for the help.

Hi,

My HP Photosmart 6510 series has SUDDENLY done this too, FROZEN.

There is one doc that it says it is "deleting" but it never does, it just hangs there. I actually printed taht doc a few days ago. Now all following print jobs just queue behind it and nothing happens. NOTHING!!!!

I can delete all jobs except the "deleting " one !!!

I have tried factory reset on the printer. I have tried restarting the printer. I have tried "restarting" in the printer options (on the PC settings...), but it says " error processing command" .

The printer continually flashes the blue light indicating a job is coming, even when I have deleted ALL jobs (except the " deleting" one which wont go away).

The printer will print a status report and test results in black. All inks are OK. (test page is very pretty!!!)

I have

Windows 10, version 1511

Printer connected USB (flawless workings for many years)

Printer able to make copies

Power cable in a surge protector (along with everything else, everything else works fine)

Can print test page and status report.

HP Print & Scan doctor results: Nothing changed, the Print queue icon, at the end of the process, has a little spanner.

Ran it again, same.

Tried deleting the offending doc again, same result - it wouldn't go away, reset etc etc etc again. Was about to post all this here (along with my immense frustration) , tried a THIRD time, the doctor miracously removed the offending frozen doc, YAY,

So, end result: Thanks for the link to the Doctor, it (finally) worked), YAY, I am printing again.

:manhappy:
