Hi @Kagamine,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283fdn is showing a 59.C0 error. This error typically indicates a fuser or paper path problem. Let’s go through detailed troubleshooting steps to resolve it.

1. Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the printer using the power button.

Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet and the printer.

Wait 30–60 seconds, then reconnect the power and turn the printer back on.

Check if the error persists.

2. Check for Paper Jams

Open all printer covers: front, rear, toner access, and duplexer (if installed).

Look carefully for any paper stuck in the path or torn pieces of paper.

Remove any jammed paper gently. Avoid using sharp tools to prevent damage.

3. Inspect Toner Cartridges

Remove all toner cartridges and check for proper seating.

Reinsert them carefully, ensuring they click into place.

Check for any visible toner spills or damage on the cartridges.

4. Check Fuser and Paper Path Components

Open the rear access panel and inspect the fuser assembly for paper or debris.

Make sure the fuser door and all covers are fully closed — the printer may throw a 59.C0 error if sensors detect them as open.

Look for bent metal or foreign objects along the paper path.

5. Reset the Printer to Factory Defaults

On the printer control panel, go to:
Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore > Restore Factory Defaults

Confirm the reset and allow the printer to restart.

This can clear temporary internal errors causing the 59.C0 code.

6. Check Firmware Updates

From the HP Embedded Web Server (enter the printer’s IP in a browser) or via HP Smart/HP Toolbox, check for firmware updates.

Updating the firmware can resolve errors caused by sensor misreads or internal logic issues.

7. Test Print

After completing the above steps, print a diagnostic page or simple document to verify the error is cleared.

I hope this helps.
