Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

Sorry for the frustration but I've just about had it with this printer. I've recently acquired some HP Premium Plus Photo Paper in 5x7 and i've wasted over 20 sheets trying to print just a simple test photo. Not only does it occasionally jam and not print anything, but when the photo paper finally decides to print it's always misaligned. I swear I've tried everything, I changed the photo size to 5x7 not only on the print settings that windows has but also defaulted the printer to print 5x7 photos on the website software (the one you need an ip to access). I've specified many times that im printing on the same paper that I have (Hp premium plus photo paper). I've tried putting the cards in horizontally and vertically to both results seen below. I've tried switching the orientations in the print settings (landscape and portrait) to no avail. I've tried printing not only from the windows print software, but from photoshop, AND hp smart's software to no avail. I swear I've dont everything I could, I've been loading in the paper the right way, (open the tray load in the paper after taking out previous ones and closing the guidelines to fit it). I even got so desperate as to tape the 5x7 photo paper to a real piece of paper in the middle so hopefully it prints on that 'section' of the page only to misalign it again. I'm seriously at my witts end here, if this printer is not able to properly print 5x7 photos someone just tell me that, since i've gone through 20 sheets and 1 ink cartridge already.

The HP Premium Plus Photo paper is perhaps the 300 gsm paper as described here.

The printer supports photo paper to 280 gsm.

True -- The difference is not so great.

What is wrong?

The printer might never have liked heavier paper (than it supports) or the rollers and overall condition of the printer are perhaps now less tolerant of printing outside the specifications.
