Hi @alfapat,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY Pro 6400 All-in-One Printer series printer is only printing a logo and not the text when printing from emails or web pages but works fine with local files, there might be a few potential causes and fixes.
Check the Print Settings
- When printing from a browser or email, make sure the correct print settings are selected:
- Open the print dialog (Ctrl+P or Command+P).
- Check "Print Text" or "Document" under settings like "Print Selection" to ensure the text is being included.
- Make sure you're not accidentally printing just images or headers/footers.
Use Print Preview
- Before printing an email or web page, use the print preview option (usually available in the print dialog).
- Ensure the entire content is visible, including text, and not just images or a portion of the page.
Clear Browser Cache
- If the issue occurs when printing from a browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox), try clearing the browser's cache. Sometimes, outdated cache data can interfere with printing.
Update Printer Driver
- Ensure the printer drivers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues when printing web-based content or emails.
- Visit the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your HP ENVY Pro 6400 All-in-One Printer series.
Print as PDF and Then Print
- As a workaround, try saving the email or web page as a PDF first:
- In the print dialog, select "Save as PDF."
- Once saved, open the PDF file on your computer and try printing again.
- This can help bypass any formatting issues between the browser or email client and the printer.
Browser or Email Client Issue
- If the issue persists only with emails or web pages, try using a different browser or email client to print the document.
- For example, if you use Chrome, try printing from Firefox or Edge to see if the issue is specific to one program.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
