I moved the printer to my apartment and it cannot connect to the wifi. I tried different times with wifi setup wizard or protected set up. Neither worked. The printer can detect my network but not able to connect. Can anyone help me with this? Thank you.

A warm welcome to HP Forums! This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I got to know from your post that the printer is not able to connect to your WiFi network and I'll be glad to help you out. However, for an accurate solution, I would need more details:
What's the make and model of your WiFi router?
Do you have 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks enabled your WiFi router?
Approximately how far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
Let me know!

Thank you for your response.
I use spectrum router. I did not find the model number but I can provide you the serial number and MAC.
I have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz enabled for my WiFi router. I can only see the 2.4GHz one on my WiFi setup wizard, which marked as 2G.
I live in an apartment. The router is in the living room and the printer is in my bedroom not a long distance but I don't know the exact number. Will move my printer near to the router help?
Thanks.

It looks like you were interacting with @senan6806, but he is out for the day & I'll be glad to help you out.
I'm Raj1788 & I'm at your service.
Note:
Check the router band: Many routers can operate in both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz frequency bands, but not all HP printers support both bands. Make sure the 2.4 GHz router band is enabled and broadcasting. If the router broadcasts separate network names (SSIDs) for each band, connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz band SSID.
Bonjour support: HP recommends routers that support Bonjour, Apple's network discovery software. Connecting with Bonjour is the best way to find the printer and support wireless printing.
However, Let's reset the printer's network settings
1. Touch Network, touch Restore Network Defaults, and then select Yes. A message appears stating that the network defaults have been restored.
2. Touch Reports, and then select Print Network Configuration Page to print the network configuration page and verify that the network settings have been reset.
Update the firmware for the printer using this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-6500a-e-all-in-one-printer-series-e710/4083974/do...
Restart the printer.
Now try connecting the printer using Wireless setup wizard.
Keep me posted, how it goes!
If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the Accepted Solution and Kudos buttons, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Have a great day!

Hi,
I tried the Restore network default already but it did not change anything.
When I put in my password as requested it said invalid then follows my password. I called Spectrum and they told me this is the correct WPA security key.
Seems like the ink in the cartridge is so dry so it did not print the report right now. I need to reorder one.
Anything else can I try?

Try to make a copy and check if the copy works fine.
Update the firmware for the printer using this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-officejet-6500a-e-all-in-one-printer-series-e710/4083974/mod...
Restart the printer and try to connect to the network.
As an alternative, if the printer is working fine use the USB, connect the printer using USB and then use the below link to Changing from a USB to a Wireless Connection.

The copier works fine but it does not copy anything since there is no ink
I did not find a USB portal on the printer itself. I tried the micro adapter portal but it says memory card error.
I supposed to connect the computer and printer first and then to download the firmware, right?

I see that you were interacting with @Raj1788. I'd like to help.
Thanks for writing back to us.
Yes, first connect the printer to the Mac and then update the printer firmware.
Feel free to contact us in future if you need any assistance.
Cheers.

I believe the printer USB port is located at the back of the printer.
Once the printer is connected to Mac using a USB cable. Use HP Utility to convert a USB connected printer to wireless:
1.) Download and install HP Utility from here.
2.) On your Mac, click Finder.
3.) Click Applications, open HP or Hewlett Packard folder.
4.) Open HP Utility.
5.) Click Wireless Setup to launch the utility.
