After using my HP Envy 4520 printer for a few months, it suddenly developed what looks like solid black "crosshairs" on the front panel display screen, one line vertically from top to bottom, and one line horizontally from side to side, not exactly in the middle of the screen but offset to the left and top slightly. Powering down the printer does not eliminate them, and they don't move - always there on every screen. Otherwise, the printer works normally in all functions tried. Is there some fix that I can try to remove these lines?

It appears to be a defect in the LCD or its drivers.  I would suggest you contact HP Support for warranty service. You can check with HP's warranty tool here.

Thanks, Bob. I mean to say "crosshairs" in the title, sorry for the typo. Spoke with HP Support and they were nice enough to walk me through some checks and finally offered to exchange the printer. While I could have done that, it doesn't seem to affect the printer operation and I can still read the display, so I will live with it as it is. Hopefully this is not a typical failure mode for this printer (I didn't see any other posts like it, so I am assuming it isn't), but at least it is out there now in case someone else has this problem. Thanks again for the quick reply!
