Hello,
The above printer was printing plain white pages. Didn't say "Out of ink", when I opened the printer, to check, and replaced the cartridges, then the printer said, "Low Ink". I replaced black with new 564 XL, printed and it worked. Then subsequent prints went back to the blank page again. I then did the steps that are outlined in the various support articles.
Clean was giving blank page. Align was saying, "Alignment Failed".
I cleaned the print head, in the distilled water, etc. Same. Did several times, etc.
After all these attempts, both the printer and the HP Smart software would return, "Alignment failed" and no alignment pages would print.
Finally, in another Support Article, said "Run under warm water to flush out, as last ditch try..."
I did that, and on the HP Smart software, the Alignment Failed error stopped, but still said on printer, itself.
But, this time, the alignment page printed as shown below.
Please note: I only use Black Ink, because no need to print color for the things we print. I have driver set to "Black Ink Only".
Then when I do Clean Cartridges, I get the output shown. Where part of the page, the ink fades out, but in the alignment page, black ink is there. So, I am at a loss what to do next.
If there are any other ideas, I would appreciate them to try.
I don't want to spend $80.00 for a new print head, when I can buy a new printer for $60. I like this printer that I have, and would like to keep it.
Thank you,
Mike
