Out of Paper Error Message - I can print one print job just fine.  Then when trying to send the next print job, I get an out of paper error message.  Then only way to get the next print job is to turn-off computer and restart it.  VERY SLOW when needing to print multiple things.

Hi @GMBAZ

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an "Out of Paper" error message on your printer (model 8139e) after successfully printing one job, here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

1. Check Paper Supply

  • Ensure that the printer has sufficient paper loaded and that it’s correctly aligned in the tray. Sometimes, if the paper is not seated properly, it can cause errors.

2. Inspect the Paper Path

  • Open the printer and check for any paper jams or obstructions in the paper path that might not be immediately visible.

3. Clean the Paper Feed Rollers

  • Dust or debris on the rollers can affect paper feeding. Use a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with water to gently clean the rollers.

4. Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on. This can clear any temporary errors.

5. Check Printer Drivers

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Go to the HP Support website to download the latest drivers for your model.

6. Test with Different Documents

  • Try printing different types of documents (e.g., text vs. images) to see if the problem persists with all document types.

7. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • This tool can help diagnose and fix various printing issues. Download it from the HP support website.

8. Update Firmware

  • Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve persistent issues.

9. Check for Network Issues

  • If your printer is connected over a network, ensure that your computer and printer are both connected to the same network without any interruptions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
