I am having the same problem on our Officejet 8600 (paper mismatch error for a simple copy job). This thread says the issue was solved, but the solution was contained in a private message. I'd love to know how to fix this!

Hi onceler1979,

 

You can try a Semi Full Reset.  If successful, this would reset the printer to factory defaults and clear the memory.  If the printer was on a wireless network, it would be taken off and would need to be reconnected.  If you want to give this a try, I can send the steps in a private message to your HP Forums in-box.  I would need you to agree not to publish the steps.  Let me know what you decide.

I have an Officejet Pro 8600 that works wonderfully.  Except i am now getting the paper mismatch error message when I try to copy anything.  As other comments indicate, I am using standard paper as I always have.  Apparently, there is a reset method available.  Can anyone out there help me with this?  Thanks for your help!
