We've a few printers at home that we purchased cheap ($30 or so) over the years from a local buisiness machine recycler.  All operate fine and all have relatively low page counts. Except there is only one working printhead amoung them, the rest are clogged.

We print about 100 pages per year, mostly all black, and copy maybe 50 times per year.  The 8600 has been our printer for the past few years, with no issues except that it loses wifi connection when it goes to sleep (old apple airport time capsule), and won't regain it when we wake it up manuallly (have to power cycle the printer).

We'd like to get rid of all but one, but also maybe keep an extra for 'parts'.  Since the printheads are interchangeable, we could keep any one of them.

Any opinions on which to keep?

Hi,

8620 would be the most advanced printer out of your 3 models, with the benefit of bigger screen size and automatic 2-sided copying among the others.

Other than those 2 features, the 8610 printer provide similar capabilities.

I think there are several 8600's ... the 8600, the 8600 Plus, and 8600 Premium. I understand the later 2 have large screens and duplexing ADFs.

Indeed,

The 8610 and 8620 are newer than the 8600 model, the 8610 has replaced the 8600 model and provide similar capabilities.

The 8600 Plus has similar capabilities as the 8620 (larger screen, ADF duplexing) which replaced it, the 8600 Premium printer has an additional paper tray in addition.

Out of the 3 models listed on your original post, the 8620 is the newest and with much capabilities.

Thanks for the corroboration.  We've been using the 8600 Plus for a couple years now. We don't need any other features that I can think of, except that it loses it's network connection after a while, probably after it goes to sleep, and the only way we've found to reestablish it is to power cycle the printer.  My memory was that they all had similar low page-counts, but I see a couple are over 60,000 pages.

So is this the list of all 00/10/20 models, or ar there other variations?
