Is there a way on the HP OfficeJet 8600 Plus to get a report of how many pages I've printed.

I was considering joing the HP Instant Ink, but have no idea which plan to pick because I don't know my monthly pages printed.

I see you are looking into your page count.  I would like to help.

A printer status report will allow you to determine your page count, amongst other helpful information.  You can follow the steps in this video on printing and reading a printer status report:

Why I need to print a page to get this info? Why I cannot get this -- and all data that is available in print -- in electronic form through HP Printer Assistant software, and thus save a at last a needle or two of a tree in a forrest?

...and why I cannot get the number of pages printed with the cartridge inside the printer, and the number of cartridges used (per each colour) to compare the advertised yeld of number of pages per cartridge with the real life count?

I printed the test page, it gave me the information except that the left hand side of the page cut off the first three letters of every line and the right side cut off 1 and 2 letters none of which are in a straight margin line.

It sometimes prints and throws a paragraph off to one side of the page. I've tried the recommended solutions but nothing.
