Hello, I hope you can help.
The printer was working yesterday, today it will print nothing.
The printer is networked thru wifi, I shut down all network equipment, printer and computer and restarted. No help.
The last app I tried to print from noted an error # 0X80004005.
The HP troubleshooter did not work, it just updated and then was stuck in a loop on step 2, updating and restart showing endlessly.
When I ran one of the troubleshooters it showed 6 copies of my printer and asked which one to troubleshoot.
I tried deleting the extra printers but the printer page in Win 10 did not respond to my choice to delete.
Could someone please suggest a next step.
Thank you .. Gary

It appears to be working correctly now. I was not able to uninstall the other non connected printers but apparently it does not matter. The solution ended up being to cable connect the printer to the computer tower. I apparently had something going on with the network.
Thank you for the help! Gary

Hi @phal
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printer error.
Let's try restarting the print spooler -
1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
2. Search Windows for run, and click the Run Windows application in the list of results.
3. Type services.msc in the Run window, and then press Enter on the keyboard.
The Services menu opens.
4. Right-click Print Spooler and select Stop.
5. After the service has been stopped, close the service window and use Windows Explorer to browse to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS.
6. Delete all files inside the PRINTERS folder.
7. Restart your computer.
8. Turn on your printer.
9. Try printing again.
If the issue still persists, try these steps -
Download and install HP Print and Scan Doctor, it is a Windows tool to fix printer issues.
Try re-installing the printer driver -
1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type and open “Devices and printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Download and install the software and drivers from here for Windows 10 (64-bit).
15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hello, sorry for the long wait before response. I have been traveling.
I got to this point in the above instructions..

When I tried to open the folder, I got nothing, only a chime and no error diaglogue. I tried to open in a new window, same thing. I tried to look at the properties of the folder, but nothing at all opened when I right clicked and highlighted properties.
The folder shows in the explorer list but it is like it does not exist.
I will try the HP Print and Scan doctor, but I have tried it before when trying to fix the problem and it had no effect on the problem. .
Thanks.. Gary

when running the print and scan doctor I noticed I have my printer and 6 installed printer copies for some reason. That may be a problem, huh?
I went to Device manager and it showed only one printer, I deleted it hoping it would delete the others, but when I ran the tool again, the non existing printers were still there.. I am reinstalling the original printer now.
