Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printhead error has remained on the display. I'd done a "partial reset" to see if could get the printhead error to magically go away. It didn't. But prior to the partial reset, the Home button, Back button and controls were on the display and working.

I've tried reinstalling the firmware but no luck. I found out that I can still scan, but only by using the software via my computer. I can't get the 8630 to do anything via the display. When I turn the unit on, it prompts me to confirm the date and time, then shows the error "the printhead appears to be missing, not connected or incorrectly installed."

If I can get the display to function as it used to, I'd be happier and I might buy a replacement printhead. Has anyone had any luck cleaning or otherwise convincing the unit that the printhead doesn't need to be replaced?
