Microsoft Windows 10 IOT

My HP8710 is not printing right.  There are some white streaks in the docs when I print them.  Any ideas?

Do you face the same issue when making photocopies?

 

Is the issue only with particular documents?

 

Print a Quality Diagnostic Page and let me know if you see those lines

 

  1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.

  2. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, touch the Setup icon , swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

The lines are there but they have streak marks on the left side.  The first two lines are streaked.  One the black block, it is streaked.   It seems all the streaks on anything we've printed on are on the left side of the page only.

Let's clean the printhead and check

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  3. Touch Clean Printhead, and then touch Continue.

  4. Examine the test page.

    • If the print quality is unacceptable, touch Clean Again to continue the next level of cleaning. Repeat these steps for the third cleaning stage, if necessary.

      NOTE: If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes before you perform all three levels of cleaning again.
