HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e All-in-One Printer

Specifications says this printer will print on 80lb-110lb cardstock. Yet, 65lb cardstock jams every time! There is no cardstock option, I've tried thick paper, brochure and matte options. Still jams!

Hi @YAMC90,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Use the Correct Paper Tray

  • Load the cardstock into the main input tray (not the auto document feeder).
  • Fan the paper before loading to prevent sticking.

Adjust the Paper Guides

  • Make sure the guides snugly fit around the cardstock but are not too tight.

Select the Right Print Settings

  • On your computer, go to Printer Properties → Paper/Quality.
  • Set Media Type to Heavy Paper, Cardstock, or Brochure Paper.
  • Try different thickness settings, even if "cardstock" isn't listed.

Use Rear Feed (If Available)

  • If your printer has a rear tray, use it, this allows a straighter path, reducing jams.Print One Sheet at a Time
  • Instead of a stack, try loading and printing one sheet at a time.

Clean the Rollers

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Open the rear access panel and gently wipe the rollers with a lint-free cloth & water.
  • Let it dry completely before plugging back in.
