I purchased an HP Officejet Pro 8210 with ink cartridges. Turns out the cartridges are 954 for C,M, Y, and K (954 XL too). That ink is hard to find and not available in the US; also my printer had a software update and I can't use 954 ink I can get online because its not an HP chip

Will 952 work?

I have reset the printer but still, get the "Non-HP Chip" message:

"The indicated cartridges are blocked because they contain a non-HP chip. Replace to continue printing.

Hello @rod0512 ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!

For the US market, the following ink cartridges must be used: The following table provides ink cartridge information.

I think you need the 952 or the 952XL ink cartridges.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you Andr-1611. Knowing the breakdown of our country of origin and cartridge of use helped out. Setting Region makes more sense now. I'm waiting on my 952 cartridges from HP, and will install them once received to confirm the transition.
