I have been using the printer without issue for a few months now. All of a sudden it is showing a message on the screen:

"A problem has occurred with one of the printers critical system files. A printer update will be installed to fix this."

By clicking 'Ok' on the printer menu it does nothing. Actually none of the buttons go anywhere, Home, Back, ? Mark. I also cannot see the printer from my MacBook anymore, it says 'Offline'. I download the latest update (OJP8210_2026B.dmg) and it will not load because it can not find the printer.

I bought a usb cable and connected the printer directly to my MacBook, but nothing...same issue of it being offline and not finding the printer. I have unplugged the printer from the power outlet and replugged it in but it still goes to the same message on the printer screen.

How do I get the printer to do the update to fix the issue?

In case others were having a similar issue. I was never able to get it resolved. It was still under warranty (1 yr) so I went to support.hp.com and did a chat. They had me go through a bunch of troubleshooting steps, none of which worked. Then they sent a replacement printer.
