When scanning a document via the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), after the document goes through the scanner, the error message is "A scanner Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) misfeed occurred.  Reload the pages to scan into the ADF and try again".      I've tried several times, used the Scan Doctor and I have everything I need to scan (so it says), and havere-started the computer innumerable times but to no avail.   The one thing I haven't done is uninstall the printer software and reuinstall it.   Any ideas, dear friend?   Huge thankds!

Greetings @Pamela5657

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are getting an error while using the ADF on your printer, is that right?

Kudos to you for trying to troubleshoot the issue on your own.

Not to worry, I will be glad to assist you.

Are you able to make a copy on the scanner glass?

Please refer to this HP Article and try steps 1 and 2.

If the issue persists, check the paper settings on the printer.

If you still get the error, perform a factory reset on the printer and reconfigure the printer.

Select Setup on the printer front panel.

Then Tools and if you scroll through the options under Tools, you will find the options to restore Factory defaults.

Keep me posted.
