I have two issues: My hp printer keeps getting stuck it shows the blue bar on the screen. It also has an access door open message. For the first issue I shut it off for a bit and unplug the system. For the second issue I open the top and slam it shut. How would I fix permanently? I get the second error a lot.

@Conniec70, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
For the blue bar issue, I suggest you do the firmware update and also test for any issues using HP Scan Doctor. Also, let me know if there are any error codes on the screen.
Restart the printer:
- Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
Update Printer Firmware
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
Let me know the exact printer model that is displaying the "Door Open" error. This guide might be helpful—kindly go through it for troubleshooting steps.
I hope these steps help resolve the issue
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
