Hello, @crupe
It looks like the AirPrint is not supported on your printer.
I'd suggest you take out the media from the main tray, load the photo paper in the main tray and adjust the paper guides to hold the photo paper in the main tray. Then try to print on the photo paper and check.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you!
Cheers 🙂

Hello, @crupe – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
I understand that you are facing issues while printing from the photo tray using the HP AiO Remote app. Try to uninstall and reinstall the app and check. Once done, try to change the paper type, paper size and then try to print again. Also, try to remove the paper from the main tray and check.
If the issue persists, then try using the AirPrint feature if available.
Now, Apple AirPrint is a feature which will enable printing from most of the apps including Safari, Mail, Photos, and iWorks. Additionally, other popular apps available in the App Store are supported. In the app, tap the Action icon or
, and then tap Print to print with AirPrint. Follow the steps below to use the AirPrint from your mobile devices:
- In the app that you want to print from, tap the Action icon (
or
) to display the menu options.
- Tap Print. The Printer Options menu displays.
- On the Printer Options menu, tap Select Printer. A list of available printers on the network displays.
- Tap your HP ePrint printer in the drop-down menu. The Printer Options menu displays again and shows your selected printer.
- If you do not need to change print options, tap Print to send the print job to the HP printer.
You can check http://hp.care/2dfqOrL for detailed instructions.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
Cheers 🙂

I have the same problem with a different printer (Photosmart 7525). Posted in a separate thread. Won't print from photo tray with AiO app, but Eprint app and AirPrint works fine. I find it ridiculous that HP's answer is to use AirPrint instead of actually fixing the problem. As you mentioned, AirPrint is not an option for all printers. Just fix the app so it works properly.

Hello, @crupe
Thanks for the update & Great stuff! Glad to know that you were able to fix the issue 🙂
I understand that this is not the appropriate solution for the issue. I'd definitely update you once we have a permanent fix with the app. In the meantime, please perform all the updates for the HP AiO app.
Thank you again and may you also have a great day and even better tomorrow 🙂
