HP Photosmart 7520
Other

Hi

I've owned a HP Photosmart 7520 since they were introduced and when I setup the printer I was assigned a hpeprint email address.

I can successfully send and print from the assigned email.

However, I have just purchased an Amazon Echo and installed the HP Printer Skill. When I click Link Account and enter my hpeprint email address it returns 'this is not a valid printer email'... yet it is as I can print from it.

I tried to find a claim code to get another address, but its impossible to get a claim code from the printer.

Does anybody have a suggestion on how either I can get a claim code to start again, or to get my hpeprint email address recognised?

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand, your printer does not recognize the HP Eprint email address,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you,

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

Disable Web Services:

  1. On your printer control panel, touch or press the HP ePrint icon or button, and then touch or press Settings.

If your printer control panel does not have an icon or button, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings to open the Web Services menu, depending on your printer model.

  2. Select Turn Off, Disable, or Remove, depending on your printer model.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn off Web Services.

Once done, follow above steps to enable the webs services,

After you enable web services, the printer will print info page and it will provide a Claim Code. For more information, you can refer to this link: https://hp.care/2xxF73V

Then follow steps from the link https://hp.care/2EKmPBC.

Let me know how this goes,

For I shall follow-up on this case to ensure the concern has been addressed,

And your device is up and running again,

Have a great day 🙂

Cheers 🙂

That worked.

Thanks for your help. It wasn't very obvious given I already had a working hpeprint email address. Now I've got a new unfriendly address, but it works with Alexa.
