I ran into an issue where I did the alignment with the page that gets scanned and now, after that was completed, every single page gets printed with the alignment marks which blocks crucial information for my documents. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi @StevensKitchens,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the alignment marks issue on the HP OfficeJet 4650 printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Re-perform the Alignment

  • Initial Check: First, ensure that the alignment process was previously completed correctly. A misalignment might cause continuous printing of these marks.
  • Re-align: Try reprinting the alignment page and scanning it again. Follow the printer instructions carefully to ensure the task completes successfully.

Clear Printing Queue

  • Cancel Print Jobs: Clear all pending print jobs in your printer queue to eliminate any setup page being inadvertently printed.
  • Restart Printer: Turn off the printer for a few minutes, then power it back on to reset its system settings.

Update or Reinstall Printer Software

  • Update Driver: Make sure the printer driver is updated to the latest version to ensure proper functioning.
  • Reinstall Driver: If updating doesn't solve the issue, uninstall the current driver and reinstall it from the HP support website for your printer model.

Reset Printer to Default Settings

  • Factory Reset: You can factory reset your printer to clear any temporary glitches or settings that might cause the misprint. This option is usually found in the setup or tools menu on the printer display.

Check Printer Preferences

  • Check Preferences: Go to the printer preferences in your Windows settings and ensure no leftover alignment settings are causing the issue.
  • Remove Startup Alignment: Sometimes the printer settings can be modified inadvertently. Adjust to remove startup alignment printing.

I hope this helps.
