As with my old HP printer, my brand new HP Envy Printer fails to print an alignment page with the red colours showing yet prints documents entirely accurately. Why?

Let us try to resolve the issue with the following steps-
Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. For more information, go to Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.
I would recommend you follow the steps from the document 'Alignment Unsuccessful' Error Message Displays.

Hi
It is is actually the yellow which is missing not the red so I've followed the advice from a previous query when this arose and your advice. A text page for print quality diagnostic prints ok, so hopefully we are sorted.
