I have just installed a new cartridge. The alignment page printed, placed it face down on the screen, and the compute goes through the process of scanning. After many attempts, I receive the same message - Alignment page not detected.

Hello, @JoanGA – Greetings!
Thanks for reaching out! I’d like to be of your assistance 🙂
Going through your post, I see that you are facing issues with the alignment on your printer. To help you better, I need to know the model number of your printer. If unsure, please check: http://hp.care/2oPCMBG
Alternatively, try the steps listed below and then try to make a copy on the printer.
- Remove the cartridges from the printer.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Now, if the issue persists, try to bypass the error and make a copy on the machine. Let me know if that works.
Thanks, I look forward to hearing back from you!
Good luck 🙂
