When setting up the printer, I was asked to do the alignment and I followed the procedures shown. After printing out the alignment page, it is supposed that the "copy" button would blink and I would need to put the page on the scanning glass and press the blinking button. However, the "copy" did not flash. When I stilled try pressing it, nothing happen. I have tried many times (I skipped the alignment during set up and come back to this later on). The alignment procedure could never be completed.
Please help.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to align the printer, I am glad to assist you.
Perform a power reset , Reset the printer to recover from printer errors or failures.
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
