HP Envy 4520
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just installed new ink cartridges in my printer. Now everytime I turn on the printer, I get these annoying windows that says I just installed new ink. How do I keep this window from coming up everytime I turn on my printer? I have an HP Envy 4520 on a Windows 10 (64 bit) PC.

Actually, I found a program HP had installed on my machine called "One Click" which ran whenever I turned my printer on. I just deleted the application and everything's fine. Thank you!

Hi @Joland7000,

Thanks for visiting the HP Support Forums in search of a solution to your new ink notification issue.

I understand that when you turn on your HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer you are getting a pop-up window on your Windows 10 PC informing you that you have just installed new cartridges in your printer. I would like to help.

That message should only show up once after a new cartridge has been installed and should not show up again once the notification has been acknowledged.

I would start by removing and reseating the cartridges.

Next I would perform a Power Reset on the printer and restart the computer.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

I have the screen on my printer  8500A "Genuine HP Cartridges installed" which will not clear. I have tried reinstalling the cartridges and powering off and on the printer as recommended to no avail. Any other suggestions?

The printer is connected to the network via WiFi. I have a Mac computer running OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.

I can't use the printer to make copies or fax. I can print or scan using my computer.

Try doing a search for a program called "One Click". I deleted the application (it woldn't uninstall) and it doesn't do it anymore. It worked on my pc. Maybe it will work on your mac.

My problem is with the Printer firmware itself.  Tapping OK on the printer screenwill not clear the New Cartridge messageand go to the " home screen" where you can make copies or fax using the printer alone. no computer is involved.

The FW is" LRP1FN1231R" I am not sure if this is the latest.I just spent $80 on cartridges and installed one and I have lost the ability to copy and fax.
