I’m trying to print from my iPad and it’s asking for a password to join

Hi @VivienneG

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

To print from your iPad to the printer, it has to be connected via wifi direct or to your wireless network.

 

To know how to print using Wifi Direct, refer to this document.

Note: You will not have Internet access on the iPad during Wifi Direct connection to the printer. The default wifi direct password is 12345678

 

Alternatively, you may connect both these devices to the wireless network to print.

Refer to this document to know how to connect this printer to a wireless network.
