Please read my complaint VERY carefully before responding.
My Officejet 3830 printer shows up under my devices with an "attention required" quotation next to the printer name. I have installed HP DR Scan, I've scanned everything 3 times, I've uninstalled all drivers (including HP DR scan) and reinstalled all drivers and firmware 3 different times now and I have gotten to the point where if I click "run troubleshooting" under devices, it will force the print, but always in black and white.
Anytime I try to print from my BRAND NEW laptop which has all the drivers up to date on it itself as well as the printer, I get an error message from windows indicating that "user intervention is required." I've looked up forums and forums on this issue, I've Google searched the issue, I've found a few other people who have experienced the same issue and somehow. made a post about it and were able to fix it. The one person fixed it by creating a port and manually entering the I.P. of the printer into for the port, but I've also tried this with no success.
I really don't want to hear anyone tell me to uninstall and reinstall the same firmware and drivers all over again. I've done it at least 3 times now max. It isn't fixing the issue and HP Dr scan is telling me that everything is up to date!!
What the hell!?!? I just need to print!! please help

Hi@MisterKush, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Try these steps to re-install the printer driver -
1. In the search box, type and open "Uninstall a Program".
2. Look for HP Printer software.
3. Right-click to uninstall.
4. In the search box, type, and open “Devices and Printers”.
5. In the Devices and Printers, look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose “Delete” or “Remove Device”.
6. Open the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.
7. Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”).
8. Click on the "Drivers" tab.
9. Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click “Remove” at the bottom.
10. Select Ok.
11. Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows.
12. Close Devices and Printers Once the software and drivers are removed.
13. Restart the computer.
14. Download and install the software and drivers from here.
15. Click on the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
Keep me posted. Happy to help!
