HP LaserJet Pro M15w Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I've been having trouble recently with my HP LaserJet Pro M15w Printer.  It kept saying that there was a paper jam, but it hadn't even fed any of the paper through yet.

If I kept trying to feed it through, it would eventually print.

However, today, both the attention and the on/ready lights are blinking.

I've tried to reinstall, I've tried to leave it unplugged, I've tried the factory reset (holding the "cancel" button then pushing the "ready" button, then continuing to hold "cancel" for 20 seconds), tried removing the cartridge, but I'm running out of ideas now.

On the troubleshooting page, it says that both of the buttons flashing would indicate that it's overheated, but I don't see how it could overheat when it didn't print anything?

I purchased the printer in June of 2018, and it's been fine up until the last couple of months.  Two years doesn't seem very long for a printer that's not used much.

The printer is being used with Windows 10, but this doesn't seem to be an issue with the computer connection.

If you have any advice, I would appreciate it, thank you!

@hinohome, Welcome to HP Support Community!

I see that the printer is in an error state and I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue.

Since you have already exhausted all the steps the only other thing I can think of is updating the printer firmware.

Download available firmware updates from the HP website. With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

If the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!
