HP LaserJet Pro P1102w Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I upgraded my computer to Win 11. I am using an HO LaserJet P1102w. I scanned hand-drawn pictures to scale into a file. However, when I print the image it is larger than the initial image that I drew. How do I get the printer to print the original drawing with out changing its size?

Hi @windrider22,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

To print an original drawing without changing its size on an HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer, you need to ensure that your document is correctly formatted and that you've configured the printer settings appropriately. Here are the steps to achieve this:

Document Preparation: Ensure that the document you want to print is in the correct size and orientation. If you're working with a digital drawing or an image, make sure it's set to the desired dimensions. If necessary, use an image editing program to adjust the size and resolution.

Printer Settings: Before sending the print job to your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w, you should configure the printer settings to match the document size. Here's how to do it:

a. Open the document you want to print. b. Access the Print dialog. You can usually do this by pressing "Ctrl+P" on your keyboard or by selecting "File" > "Print" from the application's menu.

c. In the Print dialog, locate the printer settings or properties options. The location and terminology may vary depending on your operating system and the application you're using.

d. Look for settings related to paper size and scaling. Ensure that the paper size matches the size of your original drawing or document, and set the scaling or zoom options to 100% or "Actual Size." This will prevent the document from being scaled up or down.

e. Check for any additional settings related to layout or page setup to make sure they match your document's size and orientation.

Printer Configuration: On your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer, you can also check and adjust the paper size settings. Here's how:

a. Access the printer's control panel or LCD screen.

b. Navigate to the "Paper Handling" or "Paper Size" settings. You may need to consult your printer's user manual for specific instructions on how to access these settings.

c. Select the paper size that matches your original drawing.

d. Ensure that any scaling or resizing options on the printer are set to 100% or "Actual Size."  HP LaserJet Professional P1100 Printer series User Guide - ENWW - page 20 chapter 3

Print the Document: Once you've configured the printer settings to match your document's size and orientation, click the "Print" button in your document application. Your HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer should then print the document without changing its size.

If you're still experiencing issues with the document size, make sure that the document itself and the application you're using to print it are set up correctly.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
