I have a 7310 All-in-One printer. I used to be able to print two-sided copies automatically but that option no longer appears in the Properties Dialog box. Instead, I only have the manual option, under the Finishing tab. How can I get the Automatic function back?

I followed your instructions and it worked perfectly. The word "manually" had been deleted from the Finishing tab, so that was a clue that a change had been made. I did have to restart the computer to make the change take effect.
Thanks very much for your help. Saved me much time and trouble. I had already spent a lot of both scanning HP pages and Googling other sites to unravel this mystery, because I knew I used to be able to automatically print double-sided but then suddenly couldn't. Something must have changed without my knowing.

In your "Devices and Printers" folder in Windows 10. Right Click on the printer and select "Printer Properties", then check the "Device Properties" tab and see if it shows the duplex function there.

Usually, if you just click on that duplex option you'll get a drop down box or it will change to installed. Depending on the operating system rights, you may need an admin account to change driver settings.
I dont have that particular driver installed, but it should look something like this
