Hi @Dimlylitpond,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code B80B4696 on the HP ENVY Inspire 7955e All-in-One Printer typically indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the printhead. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix this error.

Power Cycle the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer and check for any jammed paper or foreign objects inside the printer. Remove any obstructions you find.

Inspect the Printhead

  • Access the Printhead:
    • Open the printer cover.
    • Wait for the carriage to stop moving, then carefully remove the printhead.
  • Clean the Printhead:
    • Use a lint-free cloth or paper towel moistened with distilled water to gently clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the printer.
  • Reinstall the Printhead:
    • After cleaning, reinstall the printhead securely.

Check Ink Cartridges

  • Ensure the ink cartridges are installed correctly and are not empty or damaged.
  • If necessary, replace any cartridges that may be empty or faulty.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer:
    • Visit the HP Support website.
    • Enter your printer model and look for firmware updates.

Reset the Printer to Factory Settings

  • Go to the printer settings menu and look for the option to reset to factory settings. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings.

Note:

  • Ensure the printer is on a stable surface and has adequate ventilation.
  • Regularly check for updates for your HP Smart app, as it can help with diagnostics and troubleshooting.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
