OfficeJet Pro 9015e

I was using the scanner feature on my HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e and the screen turned blue with the Error Code B80B8710, with flashing lights. How do I reset for this specific device?

Hi @Skip_Sockets,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code B80B8710 on an HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e typically indicates a problem with the scanner mechanism. Here's a step-by-step guide to reset your device and hopefully resolve the issue.

  • Turn off the printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer. Wait for a few seconds to ensure it completely shuts down.
  • Unplug the power cord: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and also unplug it from the power outlet. Wait for at least 60 seconds to allow any residual power to dissipate.
  • Reconnect the power cord: Plug the power cord back into the printer and the power outlet securely.
  • Turn on the printer: Press the power button to turn on the printer. Allow the printer to go through its startup routine, which may take a few moments.
  • Check the scanner mechanism: Make sure no obstructions or foreign objects are blocking the scanner mechanism. Carefully open the scanner lid and check for anything that might be hindering the movement of the scanner.
  • Update printer firmware (optional): If the problem persists after the reset, consider updating the printer's firmware. You can usually do this through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP website and downloading the latest firmware for your specific printer model.

By following these steps, you should be able to reset your HP Officejet Pro 9015e and hopefully resolve the scanner error code B80B8710.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
