HP Photosmart 6515 e-All-in-One Printer - B211a
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I've been trying to print with just black ink and it is faded. I switched the color to blue and it printed. I ran diagnostics on my  printer and it said it was fine. It said the ink levels were good to go (they looked a bit low to me but the computer and printer were not saying they were low enough to be replaced). I ran "clean printheads" several times (maybe 3 or 4 times) and also ran "clean printer" at least once. I even replaced my black ink cartridge but still having same issues. I reviewed an answer to a similar issue from another user and tried that solution but it also didn't work. (That was to remove the ink cartridge and let it soak in warm water and then I wiped the internal part of the printer where the cartridge goes off with a coffee filter then replaced the cartridge.) I left a message there and they told me it is not a cartridge issue but a print head issue. I can't seem to find a manual on the HP system even though it has an option "Visit the product home page. Get more information for your product. see here>" and I click the "see here>" link and it says: "Access Denied" SERIOUSLY HP!!! Anyway I'm very frustrated been trying to resolve this issue for several days now. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP

@Selma83, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve this issue by performing the necessary troubleshooting steps.

Click here to view the user manual. If you have tried the steps mentioned in this document and the issue persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware issue. The printhead is non-removable on this model printer.

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.

Thank you very much for providing me with the manual. I'm afraid I will have to get a new printer but I was wanting to print something today for a gift. Hence why I've been working on it for days to try and get this gift done and made.....

Thank you though for your reply. I'm going to keep this unresolved hoping someone else might have an idea of something to do to try and fix it

A person who was responding on another post suggested to check out youtube videos for how to clean it. So I looked one up and I need the tools to take it apart. Seeing as how it is not under warranty anymore and I would have to buy a new one any way I figured it's worth a shot. The you tube video I am going to try when the tools I just ordered came in is: https://youtu.be/vhJjSjne3Z0 I will up date how it goes in case anyone else has this issue too and comes across this post.
