Black ink not working after printer sitting unused

My printer has sat unused for almost a year. When I tried to print something recently, the black ink was streaky and barely visible so I bought a brand new cartridge. Now, even after replacing the cartridge, the problem persists. It got slightly better after running the cleaning cycle a couple of times, but it's still not fully resolved.

Try cleaning again in 24 hrs.

The ink has dried in the printhead.

You can try cleaning the printhead manually, youtube has may vids on this topic.

So there is dried ink in there, even though I replaced the cartridge?

The cartridges sit in the printhead.

This actually made it worse. Now it's printing 0 black ink. I keep re-cleaning it and getting the same result.

You can try cleaning the printhead manually but it can get messy.

I did manually clean the printhead. Now it's not printing black ink at all.

There is not much else you can do.

If you replace the printer with another inkjet make sure to use it at once a week.

I have setup Task to print a file once a week to all my inkjets.
