Hp deskjet F4280
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My F4280 prints perfectly when I make a black or colour copy. When I print via my laptop/windows 10, the colour print is perfect but black is  shadowed, making it difficult to read. I have deleted and re-connected the printer via settings, but no improvement. Do you have any suggestions which I could try, please?

Hi @Kippo1,

 I'd like to help!

I understand you are facing print quality issues.

To assist better- what's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, let's print a self-test report page -

Use the following steps to print an extended self-test report.

  1. Press and hold the power button (), and then press Cancel.

  2. Release both buttons. The extended self-test report prints.

Post the self-test report page here so we can help you further.

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix the " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
