Hi there

I have tried printing various docs of different types, and also copying a coloured crossword, both copying in black or colour. Black Streaks still there each time. I will now change the black cartridge, which is annoying, since it’s a genuine HP cartridge (364XL), and still over ½ full. Only bought a few weeks ago. Is there warranty on such cartridges?

Hi @Nick-oz,

 

I'd like to help with the print quality issue.

 

The cartridge expiration date is on the cartridge.

 

Do the lines appear when you print from the computer?

 

If yes, let's print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

 

Use the control panel to print a Print Quality Diagnostic report.

  1. Load plain, white paper in the tray.

  2. From the control panel home screen, touch the Settings icon .

  3. Touch Tools, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Post the Print Quality Diagnostic page here so we can help you further. 

 

You may also refer to this document with steps to fix " Print Quality Issues" issue applicable for your printer -  Print Quality Issues

 

Also, try updating the printer's firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware 

 

If the lines only appear when copying then try the steps in the document -Resolving Copy Problems
