Hi @Rolf1967,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The error code 0XC4EB9556 displayed on your HP OfficeJet 4655 typically indicates an issue with the printer's internal hardware or firmware. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Disconnect the printer's power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds before reconnecting the power cord.
  • Press the power button to turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Open the printer and inspect the ink cartridges and printhead area for any paper jams or obstructions. Remove any found materials carefully.

Reinstall Ink Cartridges:

  • Remove the ink cartridges carefully.
  • Clean the cartridges and the printhead using a dry lint-free cloth.
  • Reinsert the ink cartridges and ensure they are properly seated.

Reset the Printer Hardware:

  • Sometimes a hardware reset can resolve errors. Performing a hardware reset involves powering off the printer, unplugging any connected cables (such as USB), and then plugging them back after a few minutes.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP support page and download the latest firmware for your model.

I hope this helps.
