macOS 11.0 Big Sur
Good morning,

I have a problem with my Deskjet 2333   (CN21XXXXX) purchased on 8 February 2022.

I recently replaced my MacBook Air with a new Macbook Air M1 .

The printer worked fine with my old Macbook but won't work with the new Macbook.

I have downloaded the generic drivers but I get an error message when I try and load the HP drivers.

When I try to print the "power" light starts blinking quickly and the printer remains in "idle" mode.

Checking the "troubleshooting" on your website this seems to be a problem with the ink cartridge access door but this seems to b closing OK

Can you please advise

Thank you

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Could you please share the picture of the error message?
  • Are you able to make a standalone copy from the printer?

While you respond to that, let's try these steps from the document: Blinking Lights By the end of the article you will be able to isolate the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thanks for your reply but frankly the time it’s taken for the ‘community’ to reply makes it a total waste of time. But it’s better  than any other HP source I contacted for help.  My local HP call center - nothing , HP on Twitter - nothing, HP on Facebook - nothing. Apple and Google came to my rescue and my problem is now sorted.  A simple reset in the MacBook Air Preferences did the trick.  HP support not up to scratch on my opinion.
