My problem is with borderless printing. My Office Jet Pro 8610 printer has the driver installed. The problem is that when I use borderless printing, it will print without borders, but the documents print a little bit larger than the paper so that the edges of the documents/slides are not included on the printed paper. It is the same whether I print from Word, Acrobat Reader, Publisher, or Powerpoint. I'm not printing photos, but documents with graphics. The same thing happens whether the document or slide has a white margin or when the it has no margins before printing.My selections when printing
I'm trying to print this Powerpoint slide with graphics the same size as the 8.5x11 slide
This is how it prints with no margins but the edges of the graphics not included

The driver will oversize the image slightly so that slight (unavoidable) skew of the paper will not leave white gaps. Some drivers give the option to adjust the overspray. You might try the Deskjet 6980 driver available through Windows Update as described in the post here. Among other settings it has the option to adjust the amount of overspray.
(One thing I am not sure about on the Deskjet 6980 driver, and I am surprised works in the Officejet Pro 8610 driver, is support for plain paper borderless printing. In the past the borderless settings were generally limited to special papers (brochure paper or photo papers. This is because printing to the edge of plain paper may cause the paper to cockle, which could cause paper jams.)

Thank you for your detailed answer. The driver is downloaded. I adjusted the Overspray to Least and it prints better now: the whole image shows with just a tiny white border on the right.

I am glad you got the driver downloaded and it is working.
The Microsoft Update has been a bit troublesome (currently not working for me). I was going to suggest downloading from the Microsoft Catalog Update site. This typically can deliver the drivers when Windows Update fails, but it has its own issues - typically multiple versions of drivers with not much information on what architecture or languages are supported. It typically takes a bit of investigation to find the right version. I had actually gone to the site and downloaded a few of the files looking for the right one, but had not gotten anything installed before seeing that you had resolved the issue.
Did you get the driver through Windows Update or some other method?

I'm not positive where I got the driver! I tried your method a few times and tried downloading from driverscape.com, which I also had trouble with. However, when I went to print something, I saw the printer dialog box was different and labeled as 6980. Guess I got lucky somehow. Thanks again.

@Paperdream wrote:Hi,
I have the same problem with my printer (OfficeJet 6950), do you know of a download for this printer that will sort the problem out?
Thanks in advance
The Officejet 6950 uses the same printer control language as the Deskjet 6980. I would suggest installing that driver as described in my post above.
