Any ideas?
Thanks

Hello.
Since you are an HP Employee I will give you a full feedback for future reference.
The problem in my case was the fact that through the HP Support Assistant I had updated my drivers to the new version, which you have also pointed out.
However, there is a problem with this version of drivers as you are not allowed to choose the Photo Tray when you want to print a 10X15 photo (see screenshot) and therefore I removed the update from my system, however, without performing the clean uninstall you’ve described.
Having performed the clean uninstall in my system and reinstalling the original drivers my problem is solved.
Thanks and regards

Hi @Entropy63,
Good Day. A warm welcome to the HP community. I reviewed the case regarding issues with borderless printing. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description, brilliant troubleshooting and terrific observations made before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did this happen after a recent software or Windows update or change?
For now, try these steps:
- Please follow instructions from this link: http://hp.care/2DCGp0T (HP Printers - How to Print Photos (Windows)
- Then look under the settings option to add or remove a border.(borderless printing) and follow these steps. Now check if the issue gets fixed.
- If it does not then uninstall and reinstall the photo editing app and check if it fixes the issue.
If the problem continues please perform a root level uninstallation and reinstallation of the printer drivers by following these steps:
- In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
- Select your HP printer.
- Select Uninstall.
- In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
- In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
- Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
- Click on Drivers tab.
- Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
- Select OK.
- Remove all instances of the same.
- Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
- Close Devices and Printers.
- Restart the PC again.
Then download the latest full feature driver from http://hp.care/2rIgkZ5 and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.
Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
This should do the trick for you.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. It will definitely fix the issue for you.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
Cheers!
