Does anyone have any advice. I have watched videos and even called tech support. I have never even had a chance to print one page on this thing, so its hard to believe it doesn't work. I will never buy another HP printer again. Its a garbage company with garbage products. What happened to them.

Hi @LiveOaks
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing a false paper jam error with your brand new HP 8139e printer. This can be frustrating, but don't worry — there are a few things you can check to resolve it. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot:
1. Check for Actual Paper Jam
- Even though the error says there’s a paper jam, make sure there isn’t any small piece of paper stuck in the printer.
- Open the front and rear doors of the printer and carefully inspect the paper path for any jammed paper.
- Remove any visible paper gently to avoid tearing it inside the printer.
2. Power Cycle the Printer
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
- Turn the printer on again to see if the error clears.
3. Check Paper Tray and Alignment
- Ensure that the paper in the input tray is correctly aligned and not overfilled.
- If the paper is loaded improperly (too many sheets or crooked), it can trigger a false paper jam error.
- Re-load the paper tray, making sure it is aligned properly and not too full.
4. Inspect the Paper Feed Rollers
- Sometimes, the paper feed rollers can be dirty or misaligned, causing paper to feed incorrectly or give a false jam error.
- Gently clean the rollers with a soft, lint-free cloth and a small amount of water or rubbing alcohol.
5. Reset Printer to Factory Settings
- If the error persists, try performing a reset to clear any software glitches:
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset and then try printing again.
6. Update Printer Firmware
- Sometimes, a firmware update can fix bugs related to error messages like paper jams.
- Go to the HP Support website, enter your printer’s model number, and check for any available firmware updates for your 8139e model.
