Any documents of web pages I print will not print in colour.  My son printed a photo from his phone and it printed in colour, teh print quality diagnostic page inted in colour - what can I do to get colour in my printed documents?

Hi,

 

Please try

 

(a) Open HP Printer Assisstant (by double click printer icon),

(b) Click Set Preferences

(c) Click Advanced settings,

(d) From Grayscale, select option Off,

(e) Click Apply/Ok

Can you see Advanced ? Can you see Layout tab ? Have you installed its software and driver to your computer ?

The option you have, to print in grayscale, just isn't  there on my settings.

I have installed software and have enrolled in the Instant Ink program.

I have now done an uninstall/reinstall and it is still the same.

A print quality diagnsotic report prints in colour, but no documents will do so - leads me to think this is a software issue.

I can't see the screen shot BUT I think it is at a wrong place. Please read my very first reply. You need to set it up from Set Preferences, not from Printer Properties.

Thanks for your reply.  Doing it through Printer Assistant gives me the same answer - it just doesn't give me that option.
