@Elideni, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like your printer might be stuck in a queue or facing a communication issue. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the "busy" message:

Check the Printer’s Status

Make sure the printer is powered on and connected properly (via USB or Wi-Fi).

Look for any error lights or messages on the printer itself (paper jam, low ink, etc.).

Clear the Print Queue

On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners on Mac).

Right-click on your printer and choose See what's printing.

If there are any stuck print jobs, cancel them and try printing again.

Restart the Printer

Turn off the printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

This can often resolve any temporary communication or software glitches.

Run HP Smart:

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
