Hi @DoriH,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The C007B4 error code on an HP LaserJet Pro CM1415fnw printer typically indicates a problem with the printer's fuser or its associated sensors. The fuser is a critical component of the printer that helps to bond toner to the paper through heat and pressure. If there's an issue with the fuser or its sensors, it can prevent the printer from functioning properly.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the C007B4 error:

1. Power Cycle the Printer

Turn Off the Printer:

  • Press the power button to turn off the printer.

Unplug the Printer:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Wait and Reconnect:

  • Wait for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  • Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on. Check if the error persists.

2. Check the Fuser

2.1. Inspect the Fuser

Open the Printer:

  • Open the printer’s front door to access the fuser. Depending on the model, this might require opening additional doors or panels.

Remove the Fuser:

  • Carefully remove the fuser unit. Consult your printer’s manual for specific instructions on how to remove the fuser.

Check for Damage:

  • Inspect the fuser for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or burnt areas. If the fuser is damaged, it will need to be replaced.

2.2. Reinstall the Fuser

Reinstall Carefully:

  • Reinstall the fuser unit, ensuring it is seated correctly and securely.

Close All Doors:

  • Close the printer doors and panels properly.

3. Check for Paper Jams

3.1. Inspect for Paper Jams

Open All Panels:

  • Open all accessible panels and doors on the printer.

Check for Jammed Paper:

  • Look for any paper that might be jammed in the printer and remove it carefully.

4. Check Sensors and Connectors

4.1. Inspect Connections

Check Fuser Sensors:

  • Ensure that the sensors associated with the fuser are clean and not obstructed. Gently clean any dust or debris if needed.

Verify Connectors:

  • Ensure all connectors related to the fuser are securely connected. Sometimes, loose or disconnected cables can cause error codes.

5. Perform a Printer Reset

5.1. Reset the Printer

Access the Menu:

  • Navigate to the printer’s control panel.

Find Reset Option:

  • Look for a menu option related to resetting or restoring factory settings. This might be under Setup or Tools.

Follow Instructions:

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the reset.

6. Update Firmware

6.1. Check for Firmware Updates

Visit HP Support Website:

  • Go to the HP Support website and search for your printer model.

Download and Install Firmware:

  • If there’s a firmware update available, download it and follow the instructions to install it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
