Hi ShlomiL, I have O/S 10.14.1 so maybe things have changed. But when I go to the advanced tab under the preferences, there is not "bookmarks" menu for me select Bonjour from.
Any ideas on how I can get this printer added to enable my daughter to print wirelessly?
cheers,

Hi MKazi,
I have the same problem in trying to connect my C4780 to print wirelessly. Before I follow the instructions that you have offered, I have a concern with the direction:
- Please reset the printing system in Mac: http://hp.care/2jxPdMX
I am trying to use my desktop Mac to set up this printer, which will be given to my daughter for her desk (she has a laptop). I have an Epson already set up wirelessly for me to use and occasionally my daughter uses it, until I get this HP working wirelessly for her. My question is, if I follow the reset instructions above, will it create a problem with us still being able to use the Epson wirelessly?
cheers,

Hi MKazi,
While I was waiting for your answer to my first question, I tried to download the Mac inbuilt drivers that you suggested. Upon trying to open it, I got this reply (downloaded and tried to open three time).
The system extension “/Library/Extensions/hp_io_enabler_compound.kext” was installed improperly and cannot be used. Please try reinstalling it, or contact the product’s vendor for an update.
What do I do from here? I thought wireless printing was supposed to make all of our lives better, you know, no wires to trip over etc. But this is driving me crazy. I've been working on this for two days and I'm more lost now than when I started.
cheers,
Jack555

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I Did a double check o the printer and I see that the HP Photosmart C4780 All-in-One Printer is not compatible with macOS 10.14 Mojave

I spent 3 days to resolve this issue. As some users pointed out before, Mac isn't compatible with this printer and Wireless Setup option won't show up. I installed the HP Smart app, full featured drivers etc. none of them worked.
Here is what made it worked and it took 15mins to complete.
- Find a Windows computer
- install drivers and HP solutions center there
- Connect your printer via USB
- Set up wireless using the solutions center (it has its own troubleshooting and testing utility)
- Done
Then you can add the wireless printer from your Mac device without even connecting via USB cable.
This was by far the easiest way to solve. Most of what you do in Windows machine was clicking Next, Next, Done...
