My HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One series printer keeps messaging clear paper jam when I try to print from HP laptop when there is no paper jam.

Welcome to HP support community.
Clear the jam from the back of the printer
-
Press the Power button (
) to turn off the product.

Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
-
Remove the two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) from the back of the product.
Press in the buttons on each side of the duplexer, and then pull the duplexer away from the product.

Gently pull any jammed paper out of the rollers in the back of the product.
CAUTION:
If the paper tears, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the product. Remove all the pieces of paper from the product to prevent more paper jams.

Rotate the rollers upward to make sure that they move.

Clear any paper jammed paper from inside the duplexer.

With the wheels facing toward you, unlock the duplexer by pulling back the gray levers on each end of the duplexer.

Open the duplexer lid.

Remove any paper from inside the duplexer.
-
Close the duplexer lid.
-
Lock the duplexer by pushing the gray levers up and forward until they snap into place.

Clean the rollers

Wipe the paper rollers with a lint-free cloth lightly moistened with distilled or bottled water.
Rotate the rollers upward with your fingers to clean all the way around.

Allow the rollers to dry completely.

Reattach the duplexer to the back of the product. Gently push the duplexer forward until it snaps into place.

Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.

Press the Power button (
) to turn on the product.

Load paper in the paper tray.
-
Try the print job again.
