Your original question was about inkjet, if you have a laserjet then yes it will print transparency as well, again must be designed for Laserjet to withstand the heat of the fuser. What model of laserjet do you have, your post only mentions inkjet.

You will need to ensure that you purchase sheets that are designed for inkjet printers. The products will typically have a treatment on one side to allow the ink bond. Trying to print of a pure acetate sheet with a standard inkjet will likely result in just a colorful smear on the page.

I am aware of the type of acetate I would likely need however when I look into ordering the most suitable laser jet acetate there is a question is my laser jet printer suitable for the job... I would like a more definite answer. ideally this is such a question that should be answered by HP themselves

I mentioned Ideally this sort of information should provided by HP. they made the product they should say it can do this, this and this and save on the questions or provide the answer in support... once again manythanks
