I have been getting that the 1st paper tray isn't closed when it is. Today I got obstruction errors that prevent me printing when there is no obstruction. I used the HP Printer Doctor and it DID print a test page without problems. I then went to print what I wanted to but same obstruction error so nothing printed. How could it print the test page and nothing else? I need this printer to work desperately. Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting a paper tray error message, follow these steps to fix the issue.
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Update the printer firmware
